Commercial Pressure Washers
A commercial pressure washer isn’t like a garden hose that you just use once a year to wash your car. They’re built with constant use in mind. They have better motors, more powerful pumps and better parts everywhere. They avoid rubber.
Commercial pressure washers are usually built with four stages, a top middle and bottom of the course. They also come with heavy-duty, stainless-steel hoses, high-quality urethane and high-tempered o-rings. They use powerful engines that pump out more water per cycle than any other commercial model on the market today. And they have powerful engines that pump out more water per cycle than any other commercial model on the market today. In short, they have engines that work harder, for longer periods of time.
The engines that power the motors of the heavy duty pressure washers are much more powerful than even the most powerful electric engine. They use four stages to get the job done and an electric motor to move it. But the real beauty of the design is that it doesn’t need an engine for it. It’s all powered by the power of the water itself.
Think about it, if you’ve ever washed a car with a pressure washing device you know what we’re talking about. The water pressure from the machine runs down the inside of the belt. Then it’s pushed along the outside of the belt to the nozzle to make a jet of water vapor that sends dirty water flying against the dirty clothes. Then the warm, wet water goes over the nozzle again to rinse and clean whatever it hit. Then it comes back down the belt and does it all again.
A commercial industrial pressure washer uses a motor that has two or three different speeds. When the motor is running at its top speed the water is sprayed very rapidly into the air stream. This helps the cleaning agent to stay in the air for a longer period of time, keeping everything cleaner longer. These industrial pressure washers are designed to clean a much larger area than a personal, hand held machine.
In addition to the motor powering the machine you’ll find that there are a number of other parts that are involved in the cleaning action. There’s the hose, the hoses and fittings, and the nozzles. The hose is the path of the water spray from the power washer through the building or around the building. The hoses and fittings help carry the dirty water and debris from one place on the building to another. And the nozzles help direct and collect the dirt and other debris that are collected.
Honda built the GX series of pressure washers for commercial use. The two styles of Honda generators are the dry and wet models. The dry type includes a dry compressor with a higher PSI (pounds per square inch) than the wet model. The dry Honda generators also have a three-stage motor with variable speed fans. The wet Honda generator is an upgrade to the dry type, which was first released over twenty years ago.
A key advantage to the Honda generators is that they use a belt drive instead of a direct drive pump. This feature provides a quieter, easier to clean for the cleaning operators and a higher efficiency running rate. The belt drive also makes the pressure washer less likely to create backfeeding effects when it is in operation. The direct drive pump runs through a lubrication system and the belt drive keeps all of the moving parts in one place.
There is a limited warranty on the Honda generators. Some of the parts will be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty and some parts will be covered by either the Honda General Pump warranty or a separate warranty from the dealer. The parts covered by the manufacturer’s warranty include the compressor, the hoses, the filter, the fittings, the brushes, and the drain plug. The separate warranties will cover the fan, the air pump, the drain plug and the belt drive gas commercial pressure washer. In most cases the separate warranty will cover replacement of parts and labor for the repair.
Some of the features on this pressure washing unit are more advanced than those found on a typical electric pressure washing unit. For example, most electric pressure washing machines have a barometer that will tell you the temperature of the water inside the tank. However, this feature is not available on the gas models. Also not present is a thermostat control that controls the heat settings on the unit. Only the hot water setting is available.
You must determine how much pressure your tank is able to handle before buying a gas model. If you are using it for light duty cleaning, a small portable pressure washer will be able to handle the work. However, if heavy duty cleaning is needed then the best commercial pressure washer is going to be the one that uses a larger tank with a higher flow rate. For example, a 4200 psi tank would be able to handle up to twenty four hundred pounds of wet weight. A four thousand psi tank is good for cleaning cars or boats of up to twenty five thousand pounds.
